| Before
going ahead and reading any of the questions below, the following
is what is meant to happen once you click the "Play Now"
button.
-
A
window pops open asking you to select which contact you
would like to play the game with.
-
Once
you select your contact and click OK, a request is sent
to that buddy, asking them if they want to accept the
invitation to play the game.
-
If
your buddy accepts the invitation, your conversation window
will expand and the game will begin to load on the right
side of your window.
-
Some
games require you to accept an installation box. You need
to click "Yes" to this.
-
Some
games may require you to select an option such as "Sign
Up Now", "Play Now" or "Proceed
With Game". Obviously you will need to click
the appropriate button/link to proceed. If you want to
play a 14-Day Trial game for longer than the trial period,
you should select the "Sign Up Now"
option.
-
Finally,
some games require you to enter a name and then click
OK to start playing the game.
Q.
What does (14-Day Trial) mean?
A. Microsoft has provided MSN users with a free 14-day
trial of any games that have these listed next to them. After
the 14 days, you can not play that particular game unless
you sign up and pay for it.
Q.
I keep getting an error that says "Messenger is unable
to start (game name)".
A. This error is typically because of a particular setting
in your privacy tab. In MSN Messenger, go to the "Tools"
menu and select "Options". Then select the "Privacy"
tab. The following needs to be 'unticked' otherwise you most
probably will not be able to play any of the games. "Always
ask me for my password when checking Hotmail or opening other
.NET Passport-enabled Web pages".
Q.
I keep getting an error saying "Connection Timed
Out".
A. Unfortunately this is most probably due to a high level
of network traffic. The only thing you can do is keep trying,
or you may want to try another game instead.
