Tayiba institute is managed by a board of dedicated and professional people who have lived in Australia for several years, making their living and who now serve the Islamic community to build a strong future for our Muslim Ummah.
The Board meets regularly to discuss important issues and make decisions to ensure the future success of Tayiba institute. Financial records are well-maintained and audited every year by an independent accountant.

Shaykh Hafiz
Muhammad Abdul Wahid
was born and raised in Pakistan, and later moved to Melbourne, Australia in 1997. He obtained his Islamic knowledge and qualifications via the traditional method of scholarship (isnad), an unbroken chain of knowledge passed down from generation to generation. Shaykh also gained Islamic and spiritual knowledge from his Father, who was regarded as a prominent scholar of Islamic sciences and Tasawwuf (Science of Self). By the age of 11, Shaykh had memorized the entire Qur'an, at the famous institute Naqshbandia Ridvia, Pakpattan, Pakistan (founded by his Father in 1954), where he later completed his studies in traditional Islamic Sciences from several well-known scholars. This enabled him to obtain his licenses (ijazah) to teach it.
Upon completing his traditional Islamic studies, Shaykh went to Zakriya University, Multan, Pakistan and completed his Bachelor degree in Islamic Studies. He also completed his post graduate studies in Information Technology from Central Queensland University, Australia.
Shortly after migrating to Australia, Shaykh established the Islamic Association of Australia (IAA). In 2003, he established Tayiba Institute (the educational section of IAA) which is dedicated to the revival of traditional study methods and the sciences of Islam. He has travelled the world giving lectures on Islam. He represents the Islamic faith in the area of South East Melbourne’s Interfaith Network and is involved in interfaith dialogue. Shaykh is a respected teacher, writer and thinker. He has written and translated several classical books into English. Shaykh also oversees several educational and health (charitable) projects in Pakistan, established by his Father, including a 70-bed charitable eye hospital. Currently, he is serving as the President of IAA and Director of Tayiba Institute Melbourne, Australia.

Shaykh Riyad Ahmad Tahir is from Pakistan, a country known for producing some of the Muslim world's most knowledgeable scholars. He studied for over 12 years in Pakistan, at various traditional universities from numerous accomplished scholars including Mufti Muhammad Khan
Qadri, Dr Tahir ul Qadari, Shaykh Miraj ul Islam, Shaykh Mushtaq Ahamd
chisti, Shaykh Arshad Saeed kazmi, Dr Qutub (Egypt) and Dr Eisa Mesahano (Sudan). He studied the six books of Hadith (Dora Hadith) from a famous Islamic institute (Jamia Anwarul-Aloom, Multan Pakistan). After completing traditional Islamic studies he went to Islamabad International Islamic University and took his four years honour degree in Usuluddin. He has also done MA in Arabic and MA in Islamic studies from Zakariya University Multan. In 2003, he moved to Melbourne, Australia where he now serves as a professor and scholar-in-residence at the Tayiba Institute.
Ustaz. Riyd Asvat
received his BA (Hons.) from
the University of Melbourne, majoring in Arabic and Islamic Studies.
He is currently doing his MA also at the University of Melbourne. He
derives his Aqida from Imam al-Ashari, his Fiqh from
Imam Malik and his Tasawwuf from Imam Junayd, may Allah be
pleased with them all. He belongs to the Shadhiliyya tariqa.
