VERY IMPORTANT NEWS - 2006 ENROLMENT (CHILDREN)

Unfortunately, I.A.A. is unable to continue with the Weekend School due to circumstances beyond our control.

However, classes must continue if we want to produce future Alims and Hafiz from this country.  Strictly 50 places will be reserved for only the MOST SERIOUS & DEDICATED students.  Parents must take a serious role in the Islamic development of their children.  We need the full cooperation of parents to achieve positive outcomes.  It will require them to commit to bringing their children 3 days per week for study (after school).

The proposal is as follows:
50 select students will be divided into 2 classes – 25 students per class.

Summer Timetable:
CLASS A       Monday – Wednesday 5:30pm – 8:00pm
CLASS B       Thurs - Fri 5:30p.m – 8:00pm and Sat 10am – 1pm

If anyone would like to contribute their thoughts, please feel welcome to discuss it with anyone on the IAA committee.  Please voice your opinions before 15th January (when the program will be finalised).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Our education programs mostly rely on the generosity of committed volunteer teachers.  Some teachers have shown their unselfish dedication and strong commitment for over 4 years.  Teaching is such a rewarding job – seeing students complete the Quran, watching their good adhab, listening to their Islamic knowledge.  This is compounded by the many Ahadith that tell us that teaching and learning the Quran brings many rewards in this life and the hereafter.

We need more volunteers to teach Quran (even teaching the alphabet), Arabic Language and Islamic Studies.  The more teachers we have, the more one-on-one attention students receive.  This will enable students to excel in their learning, inshaAllah.  Even 1.5 hours a week is much appreciated.

Interested?  Please contact us A.S.A.P.

PRESENTATION DAY

The end of this years (2005) Weekend School was celebrated with a Presentation Day.  Students that excelled in Quran, Islamic Studies and Arabic Language were rewarded with certificates of achievement and presents.  The junior Islamic Studies class entertained everyone with the songs: La Illaha Ila Allah and Sing, Children of the World.  Thank you to all the Mums that cooked the cakes and sweets.
